Dr. Matthew Gaynier

Dr. Matthew Gaynier grew up in Chester, VA and attended Radford University for his undergraduate degree in marketing.

He went on to attend the Medical College of Virginia at VCU for dental school. Dr. Gaynier is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the VDA, and the ADA. He volunteers in various Mission of Mercy Projects and Remote Area Medical events across Virginia. He has also participated in Smiles for Heroes and gone to Jamaica to provide free dental care with his wife, Chriska.

Dr. Gaynier took a less traditional route to begin his dental career. He worked in sales for many years before finding himself unfulfilled and desiring more in his career. Being someone who liked working with his hands and having a love for the medical field, he found dentistry and has been passionate about it ever since, excited to wake up every morning with the opportunity to make a difference in someone’s life. Dr. Gaynier loves the interactions he gets to have with his patients. He loves being able to put people at ease and make the dental office an enjoyable experience. He considers it rewarding to provide options that can improve someone’s overall health and confidence.

Dr. Gaynier considers himself a laid back, honest, and compassionate person. He just recently got married to Dr. Chriska Mustafa, another MDG doctor! In his spare time, you can find Dr. Gaynier being active and playing sports such as soccer, kickball, and bowling. In his words, he “attempts” to golf and fish, and he and Chriska love going to concerts, DC sporting events, traveling, and watching a good binge-worthy TV show.

Our Staff

Alex Morrison, Regional Manager

Bio coming soon.

Amanda Hewitt, Office Coordinator/Area Manager

Amanda Hewitt joined the MDG family in July of 2018. She was born in Cape May, NJ and was raised in New Gretna, NJ.

After going to school for Forensic Science, her life took a different course and brought her here to Virginia and to our office. Amanda most enjoys working with our patients.

She gets satisfaction from seeing someone walk in the door upset and hopeless because they’re in pain or just don’t like their smile, and they leave happy, healthy, and smiling! In her spare time, Amanda enjoys hunting, fishing, crabbing, and spending time with her kids. She has a cat, dog, and a very old goldfish. A fun fact about Amanda is that she is a sharpshooter.
